I'm Animesh Das, living at 91/1, Bosepukur Road, Kolkata - 700042. I have been using BSNL Broadband services for quite sometime now. My broadband customer id is : 0204200002741 and BSNL landline number is 03324416983. On 16th April between 3PM and 4 PM from a number 03325911600, someone called Abhishek Nandi of Conflate Group. In the call, Mr. Nandi offered me a trial offer of 'Games on Demand', where if I pay INR 200 per month extra, I will get an unlimited internet usage. Upon enquiring number of times, just to be absolutely sure of, he confirmed me that any site access/internet usage will be unlimited and hence, I agreed to go for this offer for one month on a trial basis. The extra amount will be part of my monthly BSNL bill. I was told, that before completion of one month, they will call me up to confirm if I want to continue with that service. Even I was told, based on my usage, I might be given an offer to get an waiver on the INR 200 per month charge. A confirmation call came from the number 03325911800, (Ms Pratima Chakraborty) which was a mere formality and the plan was not discussed with me once again during this call. After that the service was activated.
But, to my utter surprise, when I received the monthly BSNL bill yesterday (25th May), it came as INR 3287, which includes all Broadband usage which is more than my monthly subscribed Broadband plan of 1GB free usage. And on top of that, the 'Games on Demand' charges is also added. Today, I have repeatedly tried to reach out to Conflate Group, from where actaully, I got the offer call, I was told that only sites accessed through or downloaded from the 'Games on Demand' website, are free of cost in this offer and on similar complaint ground from another customer, the person, Mr. Abhishek Nandi, who actaully offered, has been sacked. But, at the same time they tried to put an end to the discussion that they are very sorry about my loss and they are actaully helpless in such scenario. I had word with number of people namely, Ms Ruma Banik, Mr. Shayantu Gupta, Ms Pratima Chakraborty, Mr. Kosuhik Das, Mr. Umesh Patil of helpdesk and so on.
I have been left with no option, but to approach the cosumer forum and I'm pleading for justice. I'm feeling cheated and very upset. I am not ready to pay this huge extra amount of bill, which has been charged on me very wrongly and no-one is ready to give me a solution about this.
