Dear Officer-In-charge,
I believe the indian railways ticket booking system has elevated to a new platform with IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in This was a marvelous enhancement and implementation to serve the customers nation wide. But this doesn't seem to serve the purpose when everyday on booking tatkal tickets we get the page cannot be displayed message. I know this is due to the heavy load that the servers are brought down. But what is the answer for the millions who wait in front of the monitor from 8 to 11 am just to see the tatkal tickets reach W/L status. Is it that only people who have relatives in railways can book tickets on tatkal/emergency while all the train ticket status goes W/L for any other mode of reservation. If the ticket cannot be booked on internet, then why is there no awareness of the same at least for the peak season. this seems to be a very poor system where we have a facility but that will not work. Kindly address this and provide any suggestion/solution at the earliest.
