My name is Mrs. Mamta H. Devadiga and I am from India. UK National Lottery. sent me the email saying that I have won the lottery of $250000 and asked me to contact their claim agent with all my personal details such as name, address, date of birth, employment etc. As per this email they stressed that I should not disclose this to anybody as it will result in double claim and that I would be disqualified. As per the requirements of their email I sent an email to the claim agent will all my personal details. Thereafter the claim agent sent an email to me to contact World Express Courier Services Int, UK for claim & delivery of my winning cheque. After I contacted the World Express Courier Services they sent me a delivery Invoice asking me to make a payment of 500.95 pounds for the delivery charges to their agent Mercy J. Shepherd HDFC A/c No. 3581000039816 and that they would despatch the parcel containing the winning cheque within 24 hours after receipt of my payment. I immedately made a payment of 500.95 pounds (i.e. 46, 000 Indian National Rupees) to their agent Mercy J. Shepherd HDFC A/c No. 3581000039816 on 8.3.07..
Thereafter I received a stop delivery notice from Inland Revenue Board, UK that I have to make a payment of 9900 pounds to them for the Tax certificates and only after that they would release the parcel. When I told them that could'nt afford the payment of 9900 pounds they asked me to make a payment of 600 pounds and the balance would be financed by World Express Courier Service Int. which I had to repay to them as soon as I recd. the winning cheque. I made the payment of 600 pounds (i.e. 52000.00 Indian National Rupees) to their agent Mercy J. Shepherd HDFC A/c No. 3581000039816 on 13.3.07.
Thereafter I recd. an email from World Express Courier Services that out of the balance 9300 pounds they will make 60% payment and the balance 40% will have to be borne by me and also an email from the so called Inland Revenue Board stating that unless and until I do not make the full payment of 9900 pounds they will not clear my parcel. I also sent an email to the lottery agent informing him since I couldnt make the 40% payment he should request the World Courier Services Intl to make the payment and that I would make the payment of the balance 9300 pounds after I receive the winning cheque. The World Express Courier Services Intl promised to help me and asked me to pay a fraction of the amount since they cannot pay the whole amount. To this I asked them to refund the total money of 1100.95 pounds (98000 INR) which I had made to them as I couldnt afford to claim the winning. They refused and said that they are a real and not spam and that I should be courageous and complete the claim exercises and that I would be happy at the end of it.
I suspected something fishy and went through the website of UK National Lottery and in that I came to know that UK National Lottery doesnt claim any start up money and that it doesnt ask the winners to part with personal information and that there are internet fraudsters who cheat people by way of scam lotteries and coax them into parting personal information and to make payment for claiming the win.By way of Identity theft they use the personal information for other fraudalent pruposes.
Kindly help me to recover my money from these fraudulant people as I am financially not very well off and I had paid this money out of the savings I had done for my sons education,
and also that they do not use my personal information I had provided to them for other fraudulant acts. You are requested to take severe action against these culprits so that they do not cheat others henceforth
