I signed up for the Media Mogul Me's 7 day trial period on October 29. I called on 11/03/08 and spoke with an Abigal Curtis (#9334) and cancelled my trial membership, which she confirmed with Confirmation number 236615. Two days later there was a charge on my bank account for 51.40 MediaMogulme.com.
I call back and AGAIN speak with Abigal, who states that the trial was never cancelled, and that the confirmation number I was provided two days previously was not for this trial but for something else that I had not signed up for. Abigal implied that I had not actually called on the third, and I asked to speak with a supervisor.
I spent a hour on the phone arguing with this company before they cancelled the correct membership and said that they would issue a refund once I faxed a copy of my bank statement (apparently the charge should have only been for 29.95, not the 51.40 that I was actually charged. Ergo, I must be lying to the agents on the phone).
Finally I was provided with the refund confirmation number of RMN270202 and told that I would receive a refund credited to my account within 10-14 days. Today was the 14th day... I called and requested a status of my refund. I spoke with Xander who stated that he would send a note to corporate and that I could call back in 5-7 days.
I don't know what this company is doing... they charged me an oddball amount erroneously, I have followed all of their steps to get a refund and I still am out the 51 dollars. AND everytime I call they keep treating me like I'm a liar and a scam artist despite the fact that I have faxed them the documentation from my statement that shows "Medialmougulme.com 3%debit for Checkcard***********" as a line item next to a 51.40 debit from my account.
Anytime I ask to speak with a supervisor I get the runaround from the agent stating that they are trained to assist me, and yet they are rude and the limit of what they can do is to "send a note to corporate"
I've gone ahead and started a dispute process with my bank to get my money back. This has just been a tedious and anger inducing process. I just hope with the holidays coming that I can get my money back.
