I have been an airtel customer for the past 4-5 years. Till august I was using unlimited plan and i use to get a bill of not more than Rs.1200 and I also use to get this browser message and mobile sms regarding my usage stats.

Previous month when I switched over to a limited 799 plan with a 6gb limit, the bill has got to more than Rs.5000. When I switched the plan, airtel did not inform me that i wont be getting any usage warning and unbilled amount stat. when i asked them through customer care, one of their representatives said for limited plan no stats will be informed. why the hell they didnt inform me earlier? even if i crossed 6gb, i was not informed about the threshold limit through sms or browser message. I checked the bill amount of Rs.5000.

Also, there is no sign of 6gb usage discount in the bill. the usage showed around 20gb. so for a 20gb usage, the 6gb amount should be deduced from the bill.

also, the rent plan is rs.799. but it has been mentioned as rs.905. how? it is stated that 20 paise will be charged for each mb after 6gb of usage. so let me state that out of 20gb, 6gb is free.

so for the remaining 14 gb, an amount approx. rs. 2800 should be billed but it is in fact more than 5000.

it is not only a problem but i have called customer care thrice and yet they are not informing about the bill stats citing slowdowns.

1) airtel didnt inform me that i wont be getting any message when i cross the data limit for a limited plan.

2) no discount made for 6gb.

3) rent is mentioned as 905 but the plan rent is 799.

4) 4-5 years of being a customer has no real advantage and no discounts, special offers were made.

5) once i told them to switch to a limited plan but they upgraded to another unlimited plan without informing me.

6) they are out to make money. they will reduce the speed after a limit in an unlimited plan but they wont warn us regarding usage in a limited plan. because they want to make some bucks. when asked you are told to check the usage in their website which will take eons to load.

7) no respect or deductions for long value customers.

8) other services like bsnl offers same options for a much low cost.

9) limited plan sucks in airtel

10) iam going to switch over to bsnl after this horror.
