I am a resident of Thirumullaivoyal residing in Akshaya Homes, near Vivekananda School. The Municipal authorities are dragging their feet from providing water connection and sewage connection for my apartment for the last 6 years!! They have collected Rs.20000/- from each of the apartment owners. We are spending more than Rs.3 lakhs for sewage clearance and Rs.2 lakhs for drinking water every year. With the sewage water around the building, the entire building stinks and is a major health hazard!! The contractor for sewage clearance loots us by charging Rs.1200/- per load. We pay Rs.700/- per load of drinking water. It is nothing but pure day-light robbery, for which the Avadi Municipality is responsible. I urge the TN Govt to do something urgently to remedy the situation.
