I hired Associated Cargo Movers & packers pvt ltd. (Movers and Packers India, Cargo Movers and Packers, Movers and Packers Services, Movers and Packers Pune, India) to relocate (12 Dec) my luggage from pune to chennai. They asked full down payment (according to their policy) at the time of packing itself which also included all risk covered (Insurance). They promised to deliver my luggage in chennai on 21 dec. However, my luggage was delivered on 23 Dec by Bullet Logistics (BULLET LOGISTICS INDIA PRIVATE LTD), a company I did not hire. Bullet Logistics did not unpack my luggage a service which I had paid for. Bullet Logistics were unaware and did not unpack my luggage. My luggage was heavily damaged (Washing machine, Two steel almirah, Mattress, steel bad). When I asked Bullet Logistics regarding the insurance claim then they told me that its not their responsibility as I had sign the insurance paper with Associate not Bullet. After which I informed Associate, Pune office regarding the insurance (Same day, 21 Dec). However, they told me that they will send a person in 7 days who will repair or replace the goods as per insurance. I kept calling them for 2 months for insurance claim but there was no positive response from their side. Almost every day I will call to the manager (Abhishek, ) and Sourabh (09371034000) regarding the insurance claim, they would respond with the promise of getting the work done with in the next 2 days. I would be waiting in my house for their people to show up in the morning, afternoon and evening, basically whenever they asked, However, no one would show up and neither Abhishek nor Sourabh would pick up the call. Finally, frustrated with their response I consulted with a family lawyer and was preparing to file a case. After speaking to my lawyer, Abhishek called me and profusely apologized and told me the work would be done in next week. Its been nearly 3 months now and I see no action from their side. I have made enough number of calls, missed enough work and postponed enough my work related trips and have finally decided to seek help from customer court.
Kindly assist me with what should I do.
