Net transfer did not take place in spite of confirmation

On 02.07.09 I transferred an amount of Rs.22671.93 to pay my citibank credit card. I also got the confirmation advice.

Now, I received my latest credit card statement showing outstanding of previous amount and they also added Rs. 2475.93 as intrest, late fee, ser.tax. overdue amount etc.

I checked my HDFC account statement and foud the money was not transferred to CITIBANK credit card account.

It is therefore requested to compensate my loss of Rs.2475.93 which I am going to pay to CITYBANK because of HDFC Bank's fault.
