I game my bed sheet along with 2 pillow cover to Band box on 13th Jan which was supposed to be returned on 17th of Jan. Bill number - 81124. When they gave it back I saw some external color on one of my pillow cover. They took it back and promised to get it cleaned. After a week they said its a mistake from their end and they will search for a similar piece in the market and buy it for me. I agreed for the same. After 2 months of running around they could not find a similar piece in the market and said they will pay Rs 1000 as compensation. I refused to take it as it was worth of the same was 2800 and it was new piece which I had brought recently. I had couple of rounds of discussion with the local manager - this failed to result in full repayment. Then later he asked me to call up one of his manager called Ratana from Bannergatta office. When I called her up she started shouting at me saying that I had given old cloths and its the quality of the product which has laid to the color run (My question is - if the quality was a issue then the color would have run all over my bed sheet and the other pillow cover as well). She started forcing me to accept that Rs 1000 saying that the product was old and I should consider the depreciation. After having a illogical discussion with the stubborn lady, she asked me to do what ever i felt like and said their disclaimers will cover her from this mistake.
Does illogical disclaimers protect sick companies from all their wrong doing?
After all this running around and wasteful argument for over 3 minths I am looking to penalize Band box and claim meaningful compensation for the mistake they have done.
Need your help in getting this done.
