I came from canada recently and setup my own small company in India's IT-city Bangalore. I approced a web designig company for this. Deal was final and it was decided that we have to provide 50% deposti for website design. We did that and the timeframe for this website designing was 1 Month. Afer taking money I am still my project to take off. I finally approced another company http://www.bangalorewebdesigning.com, we get our website designed. I am really shocked byt this that inspite of taking my money half first they did not even thought to start my project. its very bad experience.
