I had made the necessary payment against my credit card that I hold from Barclays on 04th June'08, 2 days after the due date through the "Easy Bill Center" vide the receipt no."0175000008530". And after that I started receiving the SMS stating "We have not received last month's payment by the due date. If you haven't already done so, please pay Rs.1760 immediately. You may contact us on "0124-4398400". I inially ignored these SMS untill 06th June'08 when I contacted the Customer Care and informed them about the same. In the same call, I was informed that my payment of 04th June'08 is already updated against my account and hence the lady representative told that she would forward a request to the concerned department to stop the SMS's coming across me. Then the very next day, early morning, I received two SMS with the same content as above and then contacted the Customer Care, where I had a word with Ayushman who told that since, yesterday was Sunday, so the complaint could not be resolved but the same would be done that day. I enquired twice, if he was sure about the same and that I would not receive anymore messages, to which he gave an affirmative answer. However nothing happened, and I received one SMS again on the same day and one on the next day.he nail on the coffin was put across by one email that I received in my Official email id on the 12th June'08 which was send across on 11th June'2008 at 9 P.M. from "[email protected]" with the contents as follows, "Dear MR GOURAB UJJAL BORA
We notice that we have not received the monthly payment due on your Barclaycard account and would like to remind you that as per the Terms and Conditions applicable to your account you need to make the same.
We realize that this maybe an oversight and request you to make a payment of Rs 1760 to bring your account back to order

Barclays Bank". So I again contacted the Customer Care Department and had a word with "Rakesh" to whom I explained everything. He tried to apologize but I never accepted the same and hence asked him to get a confirmed resolution to which he wput me on hold and then came up with a committment for arranging a call back within 4 hrs, which was completed at 2 P.M. as I gave the call at around 9:50 A.M.on that day, 12th June'08. I clearly told him that I do n't believe in the call back committments but he assured me that he would arrange for the same and to boost my self belief, I never received the call back. I then finally gave a call back on 16th June at around 12:30 P.M. and had a word with Shikha, Rajiv (Floor Supervisor, as informed in the call) and then finally with Deepak (Team Manager, as informed in the call). I had to explain all the things again and again to all the people I had a word with and then Deepak apologized for the inconvenience and gave a commitment for a call back, which I initially refused. I was demading an explanation in writing for the following things :-
a). When the payment was received on 06th June' why were the SMS send across to me even if they were automated?
b). When the Customer Care department was informed about the problem and they provided with the committment to resolve the almost immediately, why was it not done and I kept on receiving SMS and even an email?
c). Why did I never receive the call back as per the committment of getting the same within 4 hrs?
Deepak told me that he need to investigate the entire matter and hence he required 24 hrs from my side, which as I already mentioned thta I refused but considering his position, I told him that I would wait for his call on 17th June'2008 which he reassured that he would personally give. then I again got a boost in my self belief because I never received any call back whatsoever from Deepak or anyone from the Barclays Bank for my issue. I then gave a call back on 18th June'2008 and reached Gaurav to whom I asked to transfer the call to Deepak and then "Ranjeet" came online as the "Team Manager" and when I asked him about deepak, he told me that he is not present at that moment and hence he is online. When I asked him about the reason for Deepak not giving a call back, he told that the call back was scheduled for 18th June'2008 to which I replied him by saying that 24 hrs from around 1:15 P.M. on 16th June completes on the same time 17th June'2008 and he had no answer for the same. I actually got very harsh on him and refused to talk to him and kept on asking him to pass on the line to Deepak. He then told that he would arrange the call back from Deepak "straightaway" which he later clarified as "after 2:30 P.M." as that would bbe the time when Deepak would be present. he also told that there are only two Manager on the entire floor, one is Deepak and the other is Kapil. When I cross questioned about his position which he told me as "Team Manager", he was trying to "Hit around the bush". So I got really very angry and hung up the phone. And still I have not received the so called “Call Back”.
