I am a barclays credit card holder. But i am not a regular user of this card, i am using the same to pay my fees only. They had come up with a Priority Circle scheme wherein they promised me to give complimentary gift. I asked them that why they had selected my no? as i am not a regular. They told me that the no. had selected randomly, but they did not tell me about the charges for this particular scheme. When i received the statement, they straight away debited INR 6000 alongwith service tax of INR 741.
I inquired about the charges then they said its a membership charges for the scheme. I told them, that the same would not informed me previously. The executive said, we will verify your call from our quality dept, & if there is any fake commitment from our side we will reverse those charges. Again i called customer care after 2-3 days to know the status, that time the other customer executive said, we have verified the call, & the charges were informed to you by our sales executive. When i asked to hear that call they said we won't do the same.
How would i know that they had informed me such charges before verifying at my end? How can i trust on them because my call was transferred to 2-3 executives? And about the complimentary gift the same is not received till date.
