Non Closure of Loans

I wanted to close a loan of Barclays Bank Plc, hence i requested them for the same on 25th September at 10.15 AM through a phone call. The person I speak with were Priti Rana / Anand Krishnan in Loan section. They said you cannot close the loan on upfront basis but you will have to raise closure request and after that we will send you a letter through courier within 10 days and after that you can close the loan by sending a cheque in favor of wait Barclays Bank Plc including interest upto that date.

I said when I want to close the loan immediately then why should I pay interest for these 15 days. They said this is the policy of the bank.

Also I raised a loan closure request immediately but still I have not received any letter till date.

This is not correct from a customer perspective.
