Late payment charges

The last date of the due date was 29th Sep. I deposited the cheque in the cheque drop bos on 27th and payment was credited in their records on 7th october. A Statement was sent the next month for late payment charges and finance charges. I called the customer care and registered my request. The reply i got was that they are forwarding the request and will sort out and get back to me. Till date they have not called back inspite of my repeated calls. Infact they made atleast 5 system generated calls but no one speaks once i pick up. they have increased the due amount to about Rs. 2700/= now. I have talked to them personally many times but every time i get a reply that your request is already forwarded. I should have not been levied any charge for the period from the date when i registered my complaint and they sorted out. 2. so many unspoken calls has disturbed my life. What should I do.
