As per birla sunlife insurance company mail dated January 30 which state that "For any
further information or assistance, please feel free to contact us between 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. IST [Monday to Saturday] on our toll-free numbers
1-800-22-7000 and 1-800-270-7000, or on 022-6691 7777 [non toll-free]". I
made a call at their customer care centre on presumtion that phone no. given
by them is a toll free no. and no charges will be levied from my mobile
balance account.
On Saturday (31-01) at 7:03Pm I made a call at their (birla sunlife insurance company) toll free no.
1800227000 from my mobile phone i.e. 09312311646 . By assuming that it is a
free call i made from my mobile but my prepaid balance get reduced. I
contact my telephone operator i.e relance communciation they told me that it
is not a free number and this number is free on MTNL/BSNL phones. And also
told me that the birla sunlife people cheated me. And told me to contact the
Birla sunlife people.
Then i again contact at the customer care of the birla sunlife regarding the
same problem. They told me that they are help less and told me to contact my
telephone operator i.e relance communciation ltd.
I feel very bad, cheated that my prepaid balance has been deducted from
account. I trust the birla sunlife but they people cheate me.
I want my money back.
If i know that the number given my you is not a toll free number, i will
call you from my MTNL number.
I want to know the procedure for taking the toll free number. Who are
eligble for the same? And who will pay to the telpehone service provider
for their calls?
Please help.
Please do something.
I check the balance but there are so many people who do not check the
balance. So will cheat so many people by advertising that it is a toll free
number.
