TO, THE CONCERNED AUTHORITY,
BMTC, BANGALORE.
Dear sir
I would like to file the following Complaint which is self-explanatory...
** Route no. & no.205 -- Bus proceeding to Banashankari temple terminus via vijaynagar...
** Bus/vehicle no. &&& & KA O1 --F-- 2748
** Exact place of offence &&& Rajajinagar 1st blk. bus stand on the west of chord rd.
** Date of incident &&&&& 02/02
** Time of offence &&&-- 12.35 pm
** Name of Driver &&&&-- MR. RAMU / MR.RAJU.
** Name of conductor && MR. MANJUNATH .
1. Sir, from 12.15 pm, myself & my wife were waiting at the Rajajinagar 1st blk bus stand, on
the west of cord rd. for route no.205 bus.to travel upto monotype / bsk.2nd stage...
2. Sir, usually the frequency of this route is between 30 to 40 minutes depending on the load of
traffic / traffic jam on the roads...
3 At 12.35pm we saw the the Bus approaching, which was half empty, without any standees,
as you can observe that, it was a noon time,
4. THE SPEEDILY APPROACHING BUS DID NOT STOP AT THE BUS BAY...
5 REASON... since, the GREEN signal was on & the driver wanted to straight away proceed, but immdiately the signal turned RED & as a result the driver mr Ramu. / Raju had to apply the
brakes & the bus stopped at the signal which is more than 100 steps away from the busbay.
6 Then, myself, my wife, 2 or 3 school students started running towards this bus at the signal in
the middle of the traffic behind & between us
7 please, observe the fact, that such helter - skelter running could cause an accident / confusion
either to us / passengers or to the other vehicle drivers on the road...
8 The driver mr. Ramu had kept both the doors opened at signal & therefore we all could board the
bus at the signal.
9 On entering the bus, I asked the conductor mr. manjunath as to why, the bus which was half
empty, was not stopped at the bus bay . & mr. manjunath's reply was '' I dont know, ask the
driver '' ..
10 Then I straight away went to the driver mr. ramu, repeated the question, he simply kept mum ..
On again repeating the same question mr. ramu gave an arrogant reply '' go & complain to our
officer ''
11 I said, in the public interst I shall certainly complain, therefore pl. tell me your name & his reply
was &--#039;' Take down the bus registration number... i dont have a name, ... why dont
you go & complain in the depot ''
12 I then took my seat & bought two tickets of Rs. 10/=each for travel upto monotype/bsk. having
sr. no NV-- 89--019783 & 019784
13 I then enquired with the conductor his name & the driver's name which he readily & gave me.
14 Now my simple & humble observations forming the complaint are as below
15 That, i am 58 years old & a retired person & understand the civic responsibility to avoid bus
travel during the peak hour rush & to undertake bus travel during non peak hours ..
16 That, the arrogant attitude of the driver mr. Raju clearly displayed, as if he was drunk on duty.
17 Another example is that, during our travel, he was so much in a hurry that when the bus was at
the Hanumanth nagar, (nirmala bus stand) he started the bus in such a hurry that a college
student got stuck in the pneumatic/ automamatic door till there was a commotion & shouts by
the conductor & other passengers...
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%_
My Heartfelt, Humble Grevience is that WHEN THE '' TRANSPORT MINISTRY '', '' TRANSPORT
DEPT '' '' BMTC OFFICIALS '' ARE TOILING HARD & TRYING THEIR BEST TO ACHIVE THEIR
TARGETTED GOALS BOTH IN THE IMPROVEMENTOF THE PASSENGER SERVICES AS WELL
AS IN THE PROFITABILITY SECTOR, SUCH INCIDENTS SPOIL THE ENTIRE REPUTATION,
IMAGE, THE SINCERE EFFORTS OF THE OF THE OTHER EMPLOYEES & THE OFFICIALS &
DEPARTMENTS... IS IT NOT TRUE THAT TRAVEL DURING NON PEAK HOUR HOURS
ADDS TO THE PROFITS OF BMTC??? APART FROM THE PASSENGER CONVINIENCE???
AT A TIME WHEN, THE BANGALORE CITY TRANSPORT SYSTEM (BMTC) IS EMERGING AS
THE BEST & TOPMOST IN INDIA, SUCH INCIDENTS ARE A BIG BLOT ON THE ORGANISATION,
SPECIALLY WHEN THE BANGALORE CITY HAS ACHIEVED THE MOST FAVOURED TOURIST
DESTINATION, ALL OVER THE WORLD...
My intention is not for any major punishment to mr. Raju/mr ramu, but he needs a thorough dressing
down, warning, censure, counselling .. & my intention was to bring the incident to the kind
attention of the BMTC & others
In conclusion, i expect that in view of the information techology excellence achived by the
K.S.R.T.C / B.M.T.C., this complaint of mine reaches the concerned official and that a thorough enquiry
will be ordered into...
The BMTC'S advertisements calling upon the people to travel by buses becomes a mere waste, if the Errant drivers / conductors are not suitably punished...
thanking u in anticipation of your action in this regard.
YOURS TRULY
