BMW notification of winning

Sir,

I have been getting mails on winning notification from BMW promotion, stating that i won 750000GBP and i have recieved one or two calls also in this regard and i have been asked to pay some amount to receiev the consignment. I have replied the mail stating that i am not inetersted to make any payment and to proceed with this.

I just wanted to know the authenticity of such mails... pls advice.
