Delay of more than 5 days in delivering Courier in Mumbai city

I had couriered a packet through Bom-Ind Courier Pvt Ltd from RIL's office at Nariman Point for Borivali vide receipt no 12258699 on Thursday i.e 18/09.

On Monday 22/09/08, I received a call from my party that he has not received the courier sent by me. On verifying the same next day ie Tuesday with the courier company, I was told by one Ms Anita that the parcel would be delivered today i.e Tuesday 23/09 AFTER 3 DAYS for a courier in MUMBAI ONLY!!! IT'S SHOCKING. I wonder when they would be delivering outstation parcels/ couriers.

I also spoke to their Managing Director Mr Raj Goel who said that such things happen on account of wrong address etc. I informed him that in such case your representative could have at least called me as my cell number was written on the envelop.

THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I AM FACING THIS PROBLEM WHILE DEALING WITH THIS COURIER COMPANY. In the earlier occasion, when I had raised the issue of non-delivery of the courier after 3 days, I was assured that the parcell would be delivered latest by that evening. BUT TO MY SURPISE THE PARCEL NEVER REACH AT THAT EVENING. My part receive the parcel only the NEXT DAY.

The same thing happend this time again. As promised by Anita, my courier was NOT DELIVERED till Tuesday evening 7.00 pm. I called up Mr Raj Goel at around 7.00 pm to check the status, to which he replied that the courier has been delivered. However I rechecked the status of the delivery from my broker. I again called him and asked him to take my broker on conference and one Mr Suresh from my broker's office told Mr Goel that the courier has not reached. To which Mr Goel asked me to wait as he would recheck the same and call me within 1/2 hr.

I waited for his call. After reaching home at around 7.50 pm I tried calling Mr Goel (7 to 8 calls) but there was no reply. I then called up Mr Rajesh and informed him about the mess. To which he told that he would check up and revert.

At around 8.50 I received a call from Mr Goel informing me that the delivery boy has messed up and the courier has NOT BEEN DELIVERED.

Kindly note that both the courier contained cheques which I had to give to my share broker. Since in both cases they have reached late, I have been charged penalty for late delivery. Would the courier company reimburse the same to me.

The cheques which were courired from Nariman Point on Thursday ie 18/09 for Borivali, finally reached to my Broker on Wednesday ie 24/09.

I want to complain against the courier company BOB-IND COURIER PVT LTD for causing me financial loss and mental agony
