Inordinate delay in refund to widow

Am a widow of late Ayyanakkazhath Krishnan Raman Menon, who died on22/7/08. soon after the sad demise of my husband, I submitted application for refund of the amount to the nominee, me, with all documents in the LIC office, Kaloor on 4/7/08.Besides, I have personally gone to the office three times for follow up. Every time, the officer i/c told me that "we sent the file the same day, but no rerply is received form chennai office, u will have to wait ". As nothing happened for months together, my cousin in Chennai enquired the matter in ur Chennai main office yesterday. But, to my surprise, it was informed that no letter has so far been received by that office!!! Sir, if this is the case, I will be constrained to approach the appropriate forum for all my losses and grievances from the persons responsible. as u know, many widows like me depend on the income from the investment of such savings of their husbandsand if this is purposefully withheld with definite malintention, it cannot be permitted, sir. misguiding the customers and dependents like this is a shame to the Corporation.
