My father was getting his pension from Kazhakuttom PO trivandrum Kerala. He (Sreedharan Nair K) was retired from BSNL and he expired on 4th FEB.I personally went to Post master kazhakuttom PO and enquired about the procedure to change the pension to family pension. She told me to give an application of my mother and submit death cirtificate. I subbitted the documents on the same day thats on 13 feb. When i enquired about the pension in the last week of Feb they informed me that, the Acctt section is busy with pay destribution and all, and it will be done in next week. They also told me we will write to Acctt section and get a form for this porpose. But after expiry of almost 7 weeks they have done nothing infavour of the pesioner. Yesterday i talked to the postmaster kzm, but she doesnt know the procedure, she is simply blaming the acctts section. I asked the tele no of accts section ie 04712471660 and talked to the official present there. When i introduced the matter the mail voice attended the phone said the it will take more time and we had a lot of other work and disconnected the phone. Again i dialled the no, the a lady attnded the phone i again asked to talked the same official, after some time he again disconnected the phone. Once again i dialled th same no and asked for his superior officer. he gave a tele no ie04712460725, when i told the whole details to him, he is also talking on the same line. He told me that u go to Consumer court and all.
There fo ri request u to do needful to disburse the pension as early as possible, and take action according to yr rules against the defaulters.
