Sub: Non-drawl of Pension Arrears & Non-drawl of Pension from the month of November onwards (though Life-Certificate produced on 05-11)-Regarding-Redressal-Requested.

I submit that I am a Railway-Pensioner drawing my pension from SBI/Guntakal, Branch (000957) the paying branch and SBI/Main Branch/Anantapur being the Link-Branch. But all discrepancies in pension payment neither the Paying branch nor the Link-Branch are not able to provide any information to the customers whatsoever. I was drawing my pension w.e.f. June as per the original PPO No. 59011104052 dated 23-05. My pension was less drawn for the months of November, December and February i.e. Rs 5823/- instead of Rs 8157/- .

As usual neither the Paying branch nor the Link-Branch are not able to provide any information regarding the less drawl. They asked me to approach the CPPC / SBI / Hyderabad; because whatever amount they are advising, the paying branch is crediting it as bulk posting without any details thereof. Hence I approached the Chief Manager/ CPPC/SBI/Hyderabad with a letter for rectification. It was, however, rectified after 4 months saying that it was due to error in calculation of DR percentage by their clerical staff.

Afterwards in the month of March my Pension is revised consequent to revision of 6 th. CPC, and a letter issued by FA&CAO / S.C.Railway / Secunderabad vide letter No. APN / 1 / 2 / 6538 dated 21-03; authorizing the Bank Authorities to revise my Basic Pension & Residual Pension and to make payments as detailed in the above cited letter. Also it stated that Arrears of Pension due to the above revision may be calculated and paid duly sending a copy of the arrears calculation sheet along with debit scroll to FA&CAO / S.C.Railway / Secunderabad.

As such my Basic Pension and Residual Pension is revised in June and arrears paid for 3 months only i.e. for March, April and May; whereas the arrears are to be calculated from June as per the letter cited above. I, therefore, requested the Branches as well as the CPPC, vide my letters dated 17-07 and 19-09 to please draw arrears revising the Basic Pension and Residual Pension with retrospective effect, i.e.w.e.f. June as per the letter of revised PPO dated 21-03. In addition to this there was discrepancy of calculation of DR percentage also i.e. it is being calculated at 16% only though the DR% is revised to 22% and 27% w.e.f. 01-01 and 01-07 respectively.

While this grievance is under process; my pension for the month of November is not drawn. When I enquired at Guntakal on 30-12, the Relationship Manager told that I have not submitted the Life-Certificate. But I showed him my pass book wherein it was acknowledged that the life-certificate for 10 is obtained on 05-11. He, however, asked me to submit one more. I have given one more life-certificate on 30-12 under acknowledgement. After a week, when I asked about the drawl of my pension for November and December the Manager told me that the system is not accepting for feeding the Life-Certificate against my Account No. due to some holding by the CPPC / Hyderabad and he asked me to contact the Chief manager, CPPC / Hyderabad for drawl of my Pension and till such time my pension can not be credited to my account.

I, therefore request you, sir to please initiate some needful action to get my monthly pension and the arrears as aforesaid please.
