I am residing on rent at K – 2060, First Floor, C.R. Park, New Delhi from 4th July.

My electricity bills have been coming exorbitantly high. I informed the BSES about the same twice. They have got a meter check done both the times. First time, they did not find anything. But second time they found that a wire has been connected in the meter which is connected to a submersible motor of 3 KW. According to them, the meter reading might be coming high due to this and the same connection might also be used for other purposes by someone other than me. They also advised that I shall take the help of Police because the matter is out of their jurisdiction as the wire is connected outside the Meter Box.

I would also like to bring to your kind knowledge that Dr. Anjini Agarwal who is the occupant of Ground Floor and Basement of the same building had got my electricity disconnected from my meter in the month of August when I was out of the house, stating that there was a fire in my meter. I called up 100 no. and called the police and also got the meter checked in the presence of police. There was no sign of any fire or smoke or any kind of damage in and around the meter except for the wire disconnection which was done manually. The police got the meter connected again and settled the matter by mutual discussion with Dr. Agarwal and myself.
