Domestic power meter disconnection without valid reason

This is with reference to our BSES domestic electricity connection (CRN No. 2510095678) in the name of Mrs. Nirmal Kinra.

We had received a letter (Notice of Demand) dt. 19/06/09 (Ref No. 251020090600115) from BSES informing us of unpaid due against our last bill due to some reason (cheque returned by bank) and that we should pay this amount either in cash or PO/DD within 15 days of receipt of that notice (ie last date 03/07/09).

Anyhow, as a good customer, we went to the nearest payment center (E-Blk, G.K. II, New Delhi) to pay cash. However we were sent back three times on some pretext.

To make matters worse, our connection was disconnected without reason (fuse & wire removed) last evening (25/06/09), 8 days before the 15 day period provided to us for making this payment.

We immediately went to the same customer care center but no one was ready to attend to us. We finally managed to pay today (26/06/09) morning and our connection was restored (receipt no. 65783 dt. 26/06/09).

We were made to suffer & harassed by BSES for no fault of ours.
