I have BSNL Service for broadband services. I have not had the broadband service working since April. Unfortunately, my many attempts to get this fixed have been met with very unresponsive and incompetent services from BSNL. As a long-standing customer of BSNL (since 2005), I am obviously quite frustrated.
I registered a complaint about this for the first time on April 24th. Since then I have talked to several people in BSNL, only some of whom I list below:
• Mr. Raghu who filed a complaint # B0151 on 15th May. He was very courteous, but finally pointed me to someone else
• Junior Telecom Officer whose name I don’t know, but his number is 23553165. This person is never at his desk and seldom attends to the phone.
• Mr. Shravan, who filed another complaint #01165. He said the issue will be resolved in two days (and that was a month ago)
• I tried to talk to the sub penal officer (94901-89461), but he/she either doesn’t exist or doesn’t attend to the phone
• And finally, a Mr. Shankar. He is the most responsive in terms of attending to the phone and finding out the issue. But he is probably the most inept in terms of follow-ups. He sent a couple of people home who laid a new line into the house (for which they took Rs 300 from us), blamed the ‘work’ going on in the area – but didn’t resolve the issue. Finally, they blamed the modem for the whole problem.
I am appalled to see the level of ineptitude in BSNL's service while they tout their wonderful broadband services in the media.
In the meantime, they have continued to charge me over INR 1000 per month for zero support and no broadband service. I would like BSNLto refund my money for the prior months. And yes, they could take some action on some of the responsible folks above – that is, if you are still interested in retaining irate customers like me.
