Deactivation of sim

I have lost my mobile phone a few days back.on the very evening i informed this at the kolkata customer care service and they told me that the sim will be blocked after sometime.but on the next day i found out that the sim was yet not locked.so i went to the exchange office (of kolkata) and also submitted a written application.but it was also fultile.after someday it was found out that the sim has not been deactivated by that time.i again called at the customer care and narrated the whole incident.they told me that... by this time the sim will be surely blocked... but see... after a whole one day... the sim is still active... nd no one cared to block it...

this is our present helpless condition... so my earnest request is to kindly look into these kind of serious matters and take proper step to fulfill customers demand.
