I live in Chennai in Annanagar West. I have been subscribing the TOI newspaper for almost a year now. The experience I'm having with the local supplier is unforgettable. The supplier (Mr. T.Shanmugam) is very discourteous towards my grievances and does not seem to bother to answer to my queries. Each day I have to make atleast 5 calls to him to ensure that the newspaper is delivered by 9.00 am in the morning. On the other hand, The Hindu agent manages to deliver the paper daily at 6.15 am sharply even if the weather is bad. The TOI supplier seems incapable of handling the distributing system. Only because of his service, I wish to discontinue the subscription of the paper. I would like to do it immediately but I am stuck since I subscribed the paper in an offer. The supplier managed to get a year's advance from me and does not seem to be bothered about his customers now. This has become a mundane activity to the supplier and each day I need to waste my time and energy to get the newspaper delivered with a lot of unpleasantness. In case I call after 7.30 a.m. he seems to be shamming as though he is asleep and his wife answers his calls. I request the forum to take necessary action against this supplier at the earliest.
