Missed calls and range

In the past it used to be indicated whenever there was a missed call. Now we receive SMS from the Message Centre saying 'You have a missed call... etc' which I do not want to receive. The indication of missed calls itself is more than sufficient.

Secondly I live in Sheikh Sarai Phase I and I do not get any range. I have to come out of the house when I receive a call, make a call or send SMS. This is becoming very problematic. If you can do something to improve the range like other areas, it would be nice.
