Eceipt of Bill even after surrender of SIM card

Sub: Excess Telephone Bill against my Telephone No 2537-8397

Dear Sir

For past few months I have observed that I am getting exorbitant monthly bill amounts, which I have paid regularly.

Please note that I had applied for a Manik Jod Cell phone (No 94323-63601) after which I started getting bills on monthly basis. But even the same was not in use after you have imposed Rs. 40 as monthly charges without any written approval from my side I stopped using the Cell No & ultimately I have surrendered the SIM card to your Barasat office on 08.06.2009 through your approved agent in Madhyamgram. I have also obtained receipt for the same. But unfortunately, I am in regular receipt of Bills on monthly basis from BSNL & BSNL mobile every month.till today.

Please note I have further observed that I can hear whispering sound while the receiver is lifted which was verbally intimated to Sripur Exchange, who said that this type of complaints are very temporary nature & will be solved in normal course, but the problem prevails.

Meanwhile I request you to send me a detail of calls made from my Residence Landline No 2537-8397 within 7 days failing which I will have no other alternative to approach the Statutory authorities for justification.

Hope your office will not invite such situation to arise, since I am one of the regular subscriber of Calcutta Telephones
