Incorrect internet recharging of mobile

I have a general plan prepaid cellone conection no. 9489315092 in Bangalore. My connection validity expired on 19 Sep 09. Within the grace period on 30 Sep 09 I initiated a recharge through internet using citibank to recharge my account with Rs 550 to increase my validity period. However when the payment was done to the BSNL my mobile was topped up for Rs 550 with expiry on 19 sep 09 instead of increasing my validity period as per scheme by 50 days. The BSNL was not able to resolve the problem and did not register a complaint. I had to then carry out an aditional E-recharge of Rs 170 to get the desired validity period. I recieved the credit from no. 177181 on 30/09/09 at 08:16 pm, valid till 19/09/09 REf No. 259118121. Inspite of not having validity period the BSNL wrongly topped up my mobile and there after failed to correct the error and said that option available was to carry out an additional recharge. They did not register a complaint stating that i did have a transation ID.
