Hi,
I am holding an ABN AMRO creditcard for the last couple of years and was very useful in times, last i was having a balance of 31, 000 on my credit card and i have transfered 32, 000 to close the total outstanding, when i saw the next month statement, they have moved my outstanding into an EMI based system and have credited my payments to the balance and only taken the minimuum balance and also charged interest on the outstanding.
when i sent email to them asking who asked them to move it to EMI and I dont want to continue like this and want to close the outstanding, there is no proper reply from their end, and after several emails, they finally said, they will reverse the EMI plan to the regular outstanding and clear the balance, but to reverse the EMI plan, they would charge me 3% on the outstanding, which is outrageous, since this is their indenious move without my concern and my permission, second its their mistake and they want me to pay for it.
I tried to explain to them that this is not my mistake of making it into EMI plan and its their mistake and they should reverse it, but last month they have sent me a statement with a outstanding balance of 8K, and they wanted me to clear that due immediatly.
This is ridiculous, since for their mistake and greediness they want me to pay 8k., is there any solution to get rid of this, where should i complain this.
Regards
Anand
