Unnecessary harassment

I was unable to get car loan sanction fro SBI because of credit card reports in CIBIL database which showed problems in the year 04.As reported to me by SBI three sundry loans are overdue on my name.

I have enclosed to CBIL e-mails from customercare of HSBC.CITI, ICICI & ABN AMRO bank of which I used to hold credit cards. While the former three have denied any credit report sent to CIBIL against my name, ABN AMRO has requested to CIBIL for deletion of my name (refer enclosure).

I requested CIBIL to send my credit report which outlines what exactly is reported by bank in respect of my credit account and enable me to take action accordingly if there is any error in the reporting.

However CIBIL is still asking for control number which is a nine digit unique number that helps us to track the same report from their database.

To the best of my knowledge I did not hold any other credit card at that time & hence have no idea about the above referred number.
