I had a Taj Epicure citibank Diners card. It was closed. The bank has sent me a statement for Mediclaim charged on my card. Since I do not have the card nor do I want the mediclaim, I refused to pay for it. This was told to all the call center agents who were following up for the payment. However nobody seems to have taken corrective action. I tried calling on the toll free number, however it is asking for password number which I do not have. I tried to post complaint on the website, it is not going through.

I have discussed with everybody who have called without any resolution. I have also sent mail to their complaint officer Julio Rebeiro. There is no acknowledgment. Now there are threatening letters from the company for sending the case to their recovery agents.

I have not purchased anything on the card & I do not owe anything to the bank so there is no reason for me to pay. Now they are trying to recover the money forcefully.

What is the action I can take to stop this illegal recovery.
