Respected Sir/Madam,
Subject: Harassment done by CITI Financial.
With reference to above mentioned subject I would like to bring to your notice the harassment given to me by CITI Financial in all the sense i.e. Physically, Mentally & Financially.
I had applied for personal loan from Citi Financial in December. First I enquired about 40, 000 loan amount and after knowing the EMI I found more interest rate so I requested them to give the EMI for 20, 000. During the time of this enquiries I had submitted my all the requested document to CITI Financial branch on Richmond road to Ms. Roopa. The requirement of loan was for my father operation in Gujarat. Everything was processed by CITI Financial but the loan was not disbursed to me.
As the Interest was more I had submitted cancellation request to Ms. Roopa and requested to return my documents and signed cheques, on which she informed me that the file has gone to bank and once the same is received she will return to me. Meanwhile I went to Gujarat for my father operation and after 3 months I received an SMS on my mobile showing bounce of EMI. After receiving the message I immediately went to my Canara Bank to see my bank statement and found that they have deposited cheque of Rs. 19158/- in my bank account. I had withdrawn money from bank and went with cash to CITI Financial, Richmond Road branch.
I had discussed with Ms. Roopa regarding the same and she informed me that if I did not wanted the loan, I should have returned the cheque before depositing the same. On which I told her that I had not collected the cheque and as well I had submitted cancellation request to her before going to Gujarat, on which she told that she do not have any cancellation request and now I will have to pay loan with interest to them.
After this discussion I went to their branch in brigade road and discussed same thing with their manager and there also I got the same reply to repay with interest. After which I started sending mail to their customer care email id and after several correspondence and legal notices I was being directed to their Manager, RM, etc. I requested them to issue me NOC and a certificate showing that customer had not requested for loan and so the account is being closed after getting the principal amount without interest. They had promised to issue me a certificate after clearing one EMI due for May. I as a citizen readily accepted the same and paid cash for EMI of May to Mr. Ramesh, Executive of Citi Financial.
After that there was no response from CITI Financial on which I had called up Mr. Ramesh. He promised to give me certificate with a day or two and after several followup I was issued a certificate of request of pre loan closure by customer which was not accepted by me. Also after i rejected the NOC from Citi Financial showing closure requested by me, their Manager has given me threat of Beating & Killing me.
There was not a single reply to my legal notices sent to Citi Financial several times. Now when I applied for Car loan from Axis bank I found that they have shown me a bad debtor in CIBIL and due to which I am facing problem in getting loan. As you can see from the attachment the several correspondence done by me to sort out the issue and repay the principal amount to them, but all my efforts has been listed by Citi Financial to CIBIL as a bad debtor through written communication. If I wanted to be a bad debtor I would have not done so many correspondence and legal notices.
I request you to kindly help me out in this issue and give me guidance on how do get justice and claim from Citi Financial for spoiling my Credit in other banks.
