I applied for a new ration card on Oct, in SAIDAPET ZONAL OFFICE (Ref. No. 4946 / 127857) along with the xerox copies both my parents' and in-laws' ration cards. I am yet to receive though I didn't ask for anything supplied by the Dept at subsidised rate. I asked for the reason for the delay under RTI on 26-5-08 only to get a reply that THE CARD IS IN PRINTING SECN on 29-07-08. I don't know how long it will take for printing a card in this computer age? Definitely not TWO YEARS.
