Myself anf my husband having living in different states on India due to our jobs. We cam to chennai in 2005 and settled in Adyar where we own a flat. Becaue in every place we did not stay for a longer period we had not applied for a ration card. Here in Chennai we have been applying for the same for the last two years. Recently when we met the concerned officer regarding the same he sid point blan that we will not get a ration card. I think getting a ration card is our right and also it is needed for every transaction or application. I do not understand why we are not eligible to get one. Will some one in the department look into this and help. Both myself and my husband have crossed 65 years.
