Sir,
I had paid a sum of Rs.2.25 lacs from my home loan account (that is jointly under the name of myself and my father [ who is a senior citizen] for the renovation of one room in April / May. The receipts of the same are available and a certificate can be arranged from the bank also as the payments were made vide "A/C Payees Cheques" The total estimate was given for Rs.4.00 lacs which is on paper and not signed.
We are repaying the amount to the bank with interest and are suffering unnecessarily.
Though there was no written agreement the time fixed was three months but he failed to do so.
I had to pursue a lot from time to time and a as result the job amounting to Rs.50000/- was done during a long span of time. But now after April he has not done anything neither responding to the letters sent to him.
Many regd; app. 8/9, letters have been written to him at all the addresses available to him and many of the same have been received of which the AD's are available but some have been refused to accept.
Please let me know how should I proceed as I am in a deep trouble as my father is an Asthmatic patient, a senior citizen, I have two small children aged 10 & 8 and my room is lying in the same state as I am unable to do anything till the things are finalized with him.
He is also not returning the money.
PLEASE TAKE DUE CARE BEFORE WORKING WITH HIM.
HE HAS OFFICES IN AMRITSAR & CHANDIGARH...
