Corps of Signals
Non availability of Sufficient Doctor at Plyclinic Chandimandi

Sir, I have just retired from Army wef 01 Aug (Corps of Signals) on completiuon of 30 years of service. I visited 2nd time in ECHS, Chandimandir on 12 Oct for treatment of my ailing younger daughter. I issued regn token No 68 at 0915h. I have to wait for 2-3 hours for check up by doctor due to heavy rush. At 1bout 1115hrs regn Serial No was going 102 and doctors visitng seniority was going on only 32. It can be highlighted whose regn No 102 when his number will come for check up by doctor. It means only that day the patient wil full day wait for his treatment alongwith his dependent also. It is not a correct way. I visited Colonel Amarjit Singh, Officer-in-Charge ECHS Chandimandir and discussed this matter. He advised me that only one doctor is auth for ECHS Chandimandir for PBOR. Whereas in Offrs Block One separate Doctor is deployed for a limited Officers this is purely unjustice because at 1100hrs only Ser No 9 is going on in offrs block. We all ECHS ESMs (PBOR) are given the treatment in ECHS is not an burden on Govt an amount has been paid by us for free and better treatment after our retirement. It is a command Headquarters clinic how One doctor can manage this heavy rush of PBOR. Hence it is suggested that minimum two doctors at a time must be regularly basis be available for better service of PBOR specially otherwise we may be permitted to treat at Comd Hosp specially for oldaged/families. Families who came in ECHS will expend their full day at ECHS, what about their schoolgoing children who come to home from 1200h onwards or whose husbands are employed and have to come for lunch anybody thought these problems of PBOR who came to ECHS for treatment. Really a very poor service is being going on in Comd HQ ECHS, Chandimandir. Once again I request your kind honour that necessary arrangement for easy availability of doctors be accessed in ECHS, Chandimandir to facilitate for treatment of PBOR/their families without wasting a whole day. Your kind co-operation in this regard will be highly solicited not for myself but also to all PBOR of this region. Thank you sir.
