…..on 15th Aug. I received message to pay/arrange non-negotiable transfer Charges of 400 (four hundred British Pound Sterling) to the office of Reserve Bank of India, to fulfill international banking requirements. Further informed me the name of Diplomat: Mr. Dosum Gilbert who will be in India on 16th Aug.2011 for payment of Prize money in the form of Draft in RBI
….on 16th Aug.2011 I received message and telephone from mobile no. 9833872961, allegedly in the name of Mr. D.Gilbert that he has deposited Draft I RBI and they will contact me for the processing of transfer and requested me to pay Rs.28, 000/-(400 British Pound Sterling) for registration to RBI. Thereafter I received phone call from a landline no. 022-32234424 to deposit Rs.28, 000/- with RBI as registration fee to get transferred the amount of prize.
Please confirm whether the above transaction is genuine or not, whether the sender has deposited the prize money of 550, 000 British Pounds with RBI as informed above on 16.8.2011 or not. Please suggest immediately. If found fraudulent, pls take n/ac, treating this message as my complaint.
