I purchased a seagate usb 320 gb harddisk from DCC.The Invoice number-9574586 on 20th August. The amount was of 3846.15 plus 4% vat ie 153.85.the total gross amount was 4000/- inr. When I did my payment through my HDFC platinum card they charged me 2% surcharge. When I got the reciept I was for an amount of 4000/- only. The surcharge was nowhere mentioned. Firstly I want to understand whether the surcharge levied by some companies is valid. And if so why cant it be specified in the reciept. If I am paying something, I deserve the recipte of the full amount.
In the above case what action can I take against the company.
