When the smart tag was sold during the initial launch a refundable security deposit of Rs 1500/- was taken alongwith the form. Nowhere, were we communicated in the Terms & Conditions provided alongwith the form, that it carries a warranty of 1 year. Now over a period of time the auto sensors have stopped functioning and when we want to have them serviced/ replaced its being communicated that you pay an additional Rs 1500/- to provide a new Smart tag.
'On being questioned response at Toll Plaza Counter is that they have a right to change policy from time to time. '
As a consumer to this services I would like to put this as a a complaint and bring it to the notice of concerned officials that does the Service Provider has the right to change such terms & conditions unnilaterally without informing the general public. I do have a copy of the initial terms & conditions during the form submission, wherein its only stated that "The Company reserves the right to make amendments to the Monthly Pass Policy as required from time to time'. Accordingly, Toll plaza rate per trip would change. Nowhere it mentions that there would Change in Policy of Smart Tag Support Servicing. It clearly shows that Terms & Conditions are being amended by the organisation at its own whims & fancy.
