Delhi Jal Board
No water since March

Respected Sir,

We, the residents of Mohalla Mantola, Pahar Ganj New Delhi, are not getting any water supply for the last five months. This is a regular problem every year for the last five years and the residents of the Mantola Pahar Ganj, do not get water supply during summer months (from March to September)

Though Delhi Jal Board changed water pipeline in our area twice in the last five years, but the problem is still there.

Many representations to the Delhi Jal Board Jonal Engineer By the residents of the area also could not solve our water problem.

Everyday, we have to spend Rs.40/- to Rs.70/- on drinking water and Rs.100/- on water for washing, cleaning and bathing. Besides this one member of every house have to spend 4 to 6 hours daily to arrange for this water.

Our area is at the end of the water distribution line. The water shortage is because of unothorised drawing of water by so many hotels in the area useing much bigger size of ferul and powerfull water pumps.

Problem can be solved by controlling this unothoriged drawing of water or laying separate water line for the area from the main water line.

Now I rquest your office to look into the matter and help us in solving our water problem.
