This is in reference to 24 hour maid service for household activity including baby care from the company (D.S. Infinity Recruitment Pvt. Ltd.). I had registered (Regd No. 03625) with fee of Rs. 5000 from Goregaon Branch on 16th July.

The company provided one maid initially named Dulali Sarnakar on 16th July. The maid was kept under trial and was discovered that Dulali was unable to put on gas oven. When questioned by my wife about this, Dulali replied that she has problems with eyesight that she could not see properly which way to turn gas oven knob. It was also discovered that Dulali could not able to hear from near distance as well. To add to our apathy, Dulali was suffering from some mental disorder which was to my surprise uttered by Dulali’s son. All these issues with this maid were addressed to Mr. Lucky and Ms. Preeti (both employee from the company Goregaon Branch who assisted for maid service search and registration). It was agreed to discontinue this maid by paying for the service during her stay and search for new maid.

After this sort of maid provided by the company, Mr. Lucky was requested to screen maids thoroughly and then sent to me. Few days later I was asked to drop by at the Goregaon Branch office to take interview of a new maid on which I had requested to take maid to my residence where my wife will conduct interview. Mr. Lucky was well informed with the fact that my wife delivered recently and not advised to travel and Mr. Lucky accepted the request. My wife conducted the interview and rejected the maid the same day on the grounds of incompatibility of language.

With my urgent requirement of maid and unavailability of maids by the company based on my criteria, email was sent to the director on 25th July to cancel the agreement as per the Clause 10 in company’s terms & condition stating “If the party wants his Registration Cancelled, he must make a request by e-mail [email protected] or by written application submitted in the office within 30 days from date of Registration.”

At the mid of August, I called up the Manager, Ms Rupali, at Goregaon Branch about the status of my refund, for which Ms Rupali informed that a cheque would be sent to my correspondence address by Friday (20th of August) through courier.

On Friday when no courier was received, I enquired from Ms. Rupali on the same, she promised that this time cheque with refund amount will be delivered without fail by Wednesday (25th August).

To my dismay, there was no cheque sent by the company on 25th august nor was any message given to me from the company. Irked with false promises made by the manager Ms Rupali, I called her again on office number to which a promise was made again that cheque would be sent to my correspondence through some office boy on Saturday (28th August). When confronted with Clause 10 in company’s terms & conditions stated “.. the rest amount (Only by cheque) will be sent to his address by registered post within 30 days from the date of application Submitted.”

As expected by the company, no courier or office boy came to correspondence address to drop cheque on Saturday (28th August). Around 7:30 pm, I had conversation with Ms. Rupali about the status of my refund to which reply came that company is sending office boy with the cheque in next 10 minutes. Around 8:00 pm on Saturday, to my surprise, a relationship executive called up to inform that cheque would be sent on next week on Monday (30th August) through courier. Again, later the same night around 8:15 pm, an advocate named Mr. Naveen Vishwakarma representing the company called up cheque will be sent on Monday.

Repeated calling to the Goregaon branch office with unconfirmed and non-satisfactory response, and hearing false promises for more than two weeks with breach of terms and conditions, I had suffered mental agony and harassment due to deficiency in services. I had cooperated for a long time and as a client of the company I feel cheated every time by the manager Ms Rupali. Ms Rupali also denied the fact that we had conversation around 7:30 pm on Saturday. Having said this, I had forwarded notice before filing for consumer complaint on 30th of August on the company email @ [email protected] and hard copy through courier on 30th August stating these issues faced by me and asked to settle grievances by refunding amount with suitable compensation.
