I sent two sealed cartons from Lucknow on 27th February to Ranchi through GATI Movers & Packers. They contained books and other small household stuff. When the cartons were delivered on 2nd March they seals had broken and they had holes in the corners. Upon opening them it was found that several items were broken and many items such as iron press, immersion rod, a few expensive pens were missing as well. When the delivery person was asked to confirm the damages in writing, he flatly declined and behaved very rudely. The local GATI manager refused to take any responsibility for the damages. When I contacted the GATI call center, they told to submit the docket receipt copy and a letter stating the amount of damage. They told that they would not refund anything and just provide an 'observation note'. The service is really pathetic and GATI has refused to take any responsibility for the claims. I would request the consumer court to take immediate action against this fraudulent company which blatantly cheats people.
