Check Bounce - Against the Loss and Damage of Goods while movement from Noida to Pune

I have transported my house goods from Noida to Pune and while transfering lots of goods got damaged and lost.

i have spoken to Sanjay Sharma, i guess the owner of the business number of times and also communcated the same via email, though he never repled to my mail all the conversesation was on phone. he aggred to pay Rs. 4500 against the lose and damages of goods, however after almost 6 months he paid me check of Rs. 4300/- HDFC bank, account owner Sanjay Sharma, the check got bounced, now he is not picking me phone nor replying to my mail.

kindly suggest what can be done in this case, i not only want my money but also teach a lesson to such persons who plays with others rights and takes the things for granted.
