Theft of Gold chain

Dear Railways

I was a traveller of Trivandrum mail (trivandrum to chennai) on the 26th June in the coach S6, berth 72.

While sleeping my gold chain fell down, which the co passengers saw and was ready to give to the chennai central police station.

But one of the co passengers, who was on the upper berth, S6, Berth 71, took the chain saying that he will hand it over to the Katpadi Junction Police inspector.

While I got up and saw the chain missing, I complained to Chennai Central railway sttaion.

Its been almost 5 days, but the police has taken no action as yet.

Even after giving the berth and coach details, if the police cannot help out, its such a pathetic situation of the Indian police.

They have made me walk up and down the police station for so many days without any proper action.

Now they are saying they cannot find the copy of the complaint.

Please help on what action can be atken for the same.
