Unauthorised collection from the student in the name of form fill up by Sri Hemanta Pradhan, Principal, KIMET (A diploma institute), Chhendipada authorities.
Complainant- Sri Bhaskara Chandra Sahoo,
the guardian of Sri Kulamani Sahoo, a student of 2nd yr . civil engineering at Kalinga Institute of Mining Engineering & Technology (KIMET) in 2008 .
My child had been admitted through (Diploma Entrance test) DET paying Rs 18200/-as admission fees Rs 1000/- caution money BOSE, Cuttack, the central counselling place. During 2nd yr. the authorities are forcing for additional Rs9000/- (Rupees Nine thousand rupees) though the fees of Rs 18, 200/-(as has been prescribed by Orissa Govt.) has already been deposited to the college authorities at the start of 2nd yr.
On telephone, the principal is telling that we will collect additional development fee of Rs 9000/- by cash for the students who take admission in KIMET only & is hesitating for further talk. & my child was not allowed for the 3rd semester form fill up.
Today My child had no option but to carry out their direction to fill up the form with an undertaking to clear the unuthorised amount they are demanding by 15 th Nov. The college authorities have collected Rs550/- which covers a fine of Rs100/- by cash for form fill up without any receipt.
The matter had bben faxed to the Director Technical Education & Training, Orissa & the matter was conveyed over telephone.
Since no directions were issued by the Govt. authorities to KIMET, Chhendipada, the principal /authorities are putting severe mental pressure to my child & on us for accommodating such a huge amount for this year study & the next year study. I sincerely approach your office response to look into the matter so that my child soes not suffer further.
