Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Studies, Punjabi bagh
Cancelling admission in mid of yea

Hi,

I am writing to file a complaint regarding the subject matter. I am pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration from Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Studies, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, INDIA. It is affiliated from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. I took admission in June. Person who was taking admission told us that they are taking this admission on provisional basis as I was not having English in Class XIIth. However, after one week we received confirmation from college that the admission is confirmed.

In mid of Jan’09, we received information from college that to continue my studies at GNIM, I have to appear for class XIIth English exam which will be held on April. In absence of the same my admission will stand cancelled. It should brought into my notice earlier as it is already too late.

My concern is that why they admitted me if I was not eligible for the same. You must be aware that the Government of India, MIHD, Ministry of Human affairs and Central University declared that the English language is not mandatory in graduation except English Hons. You might have noticed that I am student of BBA where English is not compulsory in XIIth level in any state/central universities/Private Institutes etc. Therefore it is my fundamental right to appear in BBA 1st year examinations to be held in April by GNDU, Amritsar. Else I will loose my complete academic year.

As all subjects of BBA are in English and it is important to have English language but not mandatory. There is lot of difference between the word important and mandatory. Even now days these Government bodies are eager to change the whole education system in India from English medium to Hindi medium.

Please look into this matter and take this complaint seriously. I would like to see your positive and early response as soon as possible. We hope for justice.

You can contact me to discuss the complaint process and any further information you may require from me. You can reach me at this telephone number 09891199234, 011-22096157, 09891178564. The best time to contact me is 4:00pm to 11:00pm, IST. Thank you for your assistance.

Please help me, as it is very much important to save my whole academic year. I have an immense trust on you, as you are the only hope for us.

Sincerely,

Rachit Rastogi
