I sent a MO for Rs 5000/= form Head Post Office NOIDA on 22 Nov. 2008.Paid Rs 250/= as the MO charges. It was addressed to Mr Anil Kumar Pandey, Village Pure Nanda, Post JETHWARA, Distt., PRATAPGARH UP (230129). The dealing persion suggested that I should send it by Speed Post to ensure the urgent delivery. I paid rs 12/= more againt the Speed Post charges.(vide receipt no.: A 5924 (EU701227141 IN, dated 22 Nov).
I am sorry to say that the M O is not reached the destination till today i.e. 5th Dec. 2008 .
On 29th Nov. I contacted the NOIDA P O, they told me since it was sent by Speed Post, so I must contact the Speed Post Office at Sector 16. I met the Manager there, who traced on the coputer and told that the FORM has reached at Rai Bareli. I am surprised that why the Form was sent to Rai Bareli, since the addressed was given in CAPITAL LETTER. Anyway, I requested him that he should intervene, make a call to Rai Bareli Post Office where the form is lying. He told me that it will take its own time. I ask the higher authorities, how much time it requires for the Speed Post? This is the situation of NOIDA Post office. The accountability should fe fixed and the action should be taken against such lethargic employees. I am thinking to forward this mail even to the Minister concerned, Divisional Higher Officials. Why the action was not taken since the MO was traced at Rai Bareli on 29th Nov. 2008? Will the concerned Manager give a satisfactory answer to this?
This is the reason that commonman is prefering private couriur services over the Post Office.
My MO should be delivered to the destination without any further delay, I can say this much only at the juncture.
A reply is awaited from the concerned Post Office and Official.
