Hi! My name is Bhushan Balraj. We bought the Micro Computer Induction Cooker make ‘Italia’ from ‘Home Link Enterprises’ (Reg. # 44126, Address- 356, Somwar Peth, 1st Floor, Sumangal House, Natpatgiri Chowk, opp. Ladkat Petrol Pump, Pune- 411011. Tel- 020- 32333609, 68007903, 9226180324) on 27 June 09. The Micro computer Induction cooker costs me Rs. 4890/- along with it I got the Pressure Cooker, Hand Juicer, Power Saver and Silver Coated Glass.
Further, I wish to inform the authority about the damage created by the Power Saver given free on purchase of micro computer Induction cooker from Home Link Enterprises.
I stay in Dehuroad, Pune along with my wife. It was Tuesday 7th July 09 we plugged & switched on the power saver to an electric power point & both me and my wife left home to go to office in the morning. Later in the evening when we returned the power saver which was plugged into an extension board & which was kept on a table was exploded & totally burnt. As the house was locked & there was no one to monitor what happen. The explosion caused all clothes kept on table, shoes kept below table, Computer monitor was completely burnt & all rooms in my house turned into black due to carbon fumes.
The day after I have spoken to Ms. Riya from Home Link Enterprises and explained the story & asked to take away the entire kit & return my money back along with the compensation for the damage. They kept me on hang for three days stating that they will speak to their senior & call me then. Finally today 11th July 09, I managed to get their manager’s mobile number Mr. Sandeep Choudhary (9271278156). As I thought due to electrical power fluctuation the power saver must have failed. I only spoke to Mr. Sandeep Choudhary regarding money back for the Micro Computer Induction Cooker and not for compensation for damage. As the product of Home Link Enterprises was not trust worthy which was well exampled by the power saver, I was insisting their manager to return my complete money back & take away their products. Mr. Sandeep was not in mood to listen my request & straight away denied from money back & was insist me take the replacement of the power saver which was worthless according to my experience.
I was no more interested in any product of Home Link Enterprises after the experience & damage I have tolerated to my personal properties. On 7th July 09 it was one of the scariest moment I came across. The consequences of that fire would been worst & may have put my whole house under fire. Still my request to Home Link Enterprises is to pay my money back.
I humbly request Authority of Indian Consumer Forum to seriously look into this matter & take the appropriate decision to find the justice. For your reference I am attaching the receipt of the same.
