Would like to bring to your notice this incident that took place at the LOUIS PHILIPPE store at the City Center mall, Second Floor, Road #1, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Ap on Friday the 17th of September around 8:20 pm.

I also forwarded an Email to the operation manager Jayanti Ganguly regarding the matter on 21st Sept. I was expecting an reply from her but until now i dint get any mail.

As me and my friend Mohammed Iftekhar were entering the store, as we were opening the door, the sign board of the store (the main sign board outside the side the store) 10*2 ft fell on us from a height of at least

10 feet. I have suffered bruises on my shoulders and arm as the board fell down on me to my embarrassment and humiliation the store salesman did not bother to attend to me until they had moved the board to a “safer” place. We were informed by the salesman that the board has been hanging on just two small nails

for the past ONE YEAR and no action was taken to repair it.

The Manger of the store Mr. Pankaj wasn’t at the store at the time. The salesmen did not take any first aid measures (the store does not keep any first aid!! This was informed to us when we asked) until the Manager of the City Center Mall Mr. Ehtesham came to the store and nagged them to do the necessary and take us to the hospital. The salesman insisted to take us to “KAABA HOSPITAL” this is a really lame hospital in First Lancer area which is at a distance 3- 4 kilometres.. We then dragged him along with us to Star hospital (it was the closest hospital). WE HAD TO DRIVE OURSELF IN OUR OWN CAR WITH THE SALESMAN IN THE BACKSEAT!! (Not to forget that we were hurt!). The salesman when to extent of disowning the whole thing stating “it’s not our fault it’s neither yours!! ”

The salesman was then cribbing about getting the x-ray that the doctor asked my friend to get done. He was actually asking the doctor and us “IS IT NECESSARY?! ” .The salesman then cleared the bills and we went back to the store (Louis Philippe) and when we wanted to speak to the Manger (Mr. Pankaj) he still wasn’t there. When we spoke to him on the phone he said he is far and cannot come!! He hung up on us twice!! He then asked us to come the next day.

When we came in the next we finally got to meet Mr. Pankaj (the “busy” Store Manager who isn’t in the store during work hours!!)

On speaking to him he said all that was necessary was done and if you want compensation (“HARJAANA” in his words) he told us to write in an email and gave us your email IDs.. He had this “I don’t give a s**t, do what you can" attitude on him!!

He had outrageous guts to ask my friend (A third friend who was with us but didn’t get hurt) why he was interfering when its not his matter. He went to the extent of asking him what he is and even asked for his business card.

I want a compensation for all the trauma and pain that I have been through and humiliation and embarrassment I have been facing (People working in other stores now recognise us as “the guys on whom the LP sign board fell”!!). I dint even sleep properly for the past two nights!

I would like a minimum Compensation of 50, 000 INR for Me (individually).

I would also request you for some Stern action on Mr. Pankaj (the store manager). He is the least bit customer friendly!!
